Kookoo Productions is an idependent theatre production company established in 2003 by Elzabe Zietsman, Sean Else and Theresa du Preez with the stated objective of providing light Afrikaans theatrical entertainment to fill the gap after the demise of the subsidised performing arts councils in South Africa. Their first production was My Vrou se Man se Vrou (2003), followed by My Boetie se Sussie se Ou (2004), As die Kat Weg Is (2005) and Is die Muis Baas? (2006).
