He joined the Brian Brooke Company as its General Manager in 1950.

Directed The Winslow Boy, The White Sheep of the Family, A Worm's Eye View, Dial M for Murder, acted in Captain Carvallo, Young Wives' Tale, The Happiest Days of Your Life.

He directed some NTO productions on a contract basis.
