James Cockburn

(17**- 18**) Lt. Col. Cockburn was a member of the garrison at Cape Town. One of the original 24 shareholders, to whom a section of the Boereplein was donated for the building of a theatre, which became The African Theatre. Appointed by Sir George Yonge when granting the land for the proposed theatre.
