Iswalene Wybrow
Iswalene Wybrow (19**-19**) was a prominent pianist and accompanist in Port Elizabeth.
Biography
Iswalene Wybrow was a pianist and accompanist for all of 25 performances, over a period of 11 years, of the Port Elizabeth Oratorio Choir, as well as for the Port Elizabeth Male Voice Choir.
She was educated at the Holy Rosary Convent and studied music under her mother, Isabel Foxcroft.
Her husband played viola in the orchestra.
Contribution to SA theatre
Iswalene Wybrow was associated with many of the City's productions and contributed to her friend, Helen Mann’s productions as a musical-consultant, thereby contributing to the production of major musical productions in the City.
Some of these include The Mikado 1966, The King and I 1967, Oklahoma! 1967, Brigadoon 1968, The Student Prince 1969, The Desert Song 1970, The Sound of Music 1972, and Oliver 1971.
