by Paul Roubaix. Written on the night of May 26, 1948, the day of the elections won by the Nationalists, this one act play looks at the history of racial dealing s in South Africa. First performed by the Trafalgar Players under the direction of the author, and starring George Veldsman and Cynthia Fischer, in the Woodstock Town Hall in February 1950. The English text published by Roubaix in a collection called A Time for Compassion. Biko’s World in Six Plays in 1978 (Toronto, Culturama Incorporated), with an introduction by Frank Birbalsingh.
