Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen. Written in 1890. First performed in South Africa by ***. Presented by the Brian Brooke Company in the Little Theatre, December 1947, produced by Mary Byron. The cast were Petrina Fry, Joan Ross, David Lytton, Brian Brooke.
An Afrikaans version by ** was done by André Huguenet in 193*? (Tr. **?)
It opened on 24 January 1964 in the Hofmeyr Theatre as CAPAB's first Afrikaans play, directed by Suzanne van Wijk; (tr André P. Brink?*) and toured the Werstern Cape.
