A lavish production was done by NTO, in conjunction with African Consolidated Theatres, in 1950, featuring André Huguenet, Lydia Lindeque, Jobie Stewart, Harry Sarber, Doreen Mantle, Frank Wise, Siegfried Mynhardt, James Norval, Emgee Pretorius, Johann Nell, Dan Welman, Charles Stodel and others.
