The Harvey-Turner Opera Company was one of the earliest opera companies to visit South Africa, performing there in 1875-6.

The company (referred to as a "strange ragtag company of singers" by Kurt Ganzl), apparently included Charles Turner, Marie Dolby, Louie Costin, Mr Morelli, and others.

They visited the goldfields in Johannesburg and Cape Town, with a repertoire that included Faust, Il Trovatore, Maritana, The Bohemian Girl, Lobgesang, Stabat Mater,
