Female Transport is a play by British playwright Steve Gooch (1945-) [1]. Full Length, 4 Male, 6 Female. It is an account of the political education of six women convicted of petty crimes in 19th century London and sentence to be transported to a life of hard labour in Britain's overseas penal colony.

Produced in South Africa at The Space (Cape Town) in 1975, directed by Mavis Taylor with Rob Amato, Paddy Canavan, Jacqui Delhaye, Shirley Johnston, Malcolm Munro, Louise Robertson, Len Sparrow-Hawk, Fiona Stuart-White, Petronella Whitfield and John Worsley. Design by Bee Berman, lighting by Brian Astbury and stage manegement by Richard Morrison.
