The original text

According to the manuscript of the translation, found in 2022, the original text (not named), is one of the plays in in Cameo Plays (Book 2), edited by George H. Holroyd and published by E. J. Arnold & Son Ltd. in 1943.

The English work has been localised in the Western Cape region and translated into Afrikaans as Die Verkeerde Trein by an unnamed author, probably for performance by the Montagu Drama Club.
