Denys Webb (19*-). Actor and director.

Training

Trained at Rhodes University in the early 1980s.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Directed Neighbours (as an Honours class production, 1982) and co-directed A Slight Accident by James Saunders (a student production, 1982), Elizabeth I for graduation 1984; directed Diepe Grond (Reza de Wet, Kampustoneel 1985), Snowangel (NAF 1985), Op Dees Aarde (Reza de Wet, Kampustoneel 1986), Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean 1987, Daan se Doilie, Momentum Theatre, 1990, Daar's 'n Kind in my Kop, A Worm in the Bud (1990).

The Unpossessed, Place of Stones, Idozi - The Spirit (Sabata Sesiu

Acted in Exiles and The Grand Ceremonial (NAF 1984).

In 2007 he was nominated for a SAFTA Award as producer/director of The Gen Game (television).
