Denys Webb (19*-). Actor and director.
Trained at Rhodes University in the early 1980s.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Directed Neighbours (as an Honours class production, 1982) and co-directed A Slight Accident by James Saunders (a student production, 1982); directed Diepe Grond (Reza de Wet, Kampustoneel 1985), Snowangel (NAF 1985), Op Dees Aarde (Reza de Wet, Kampustoneel 1986), Daan se Doilie, Momentum Theatre, 1990, A Worm in the Bud (1991).
Acted in Exiles and The Grand Ceremonial (NAF 1984).
Awards, etc.
In 2007 he was nominated for a SAFTA Award as producer/director of The Gen Game (television).
