Daniel Buckland (1981-). Performer, choreographer, director.

Biography

Daniel is the son of actors Andrew and Janet Buckland. He can sing and dance on command, play the musical saw, has extensive experience in mime, acrobatics and martial arts.

Training

He studied at the Rhodes University Drama Department, graduating in the early 2000s.

Career

He has toured the world with Cirque du Soleil. Taught at both the Market's Lab and the Acting Studio.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He has appeared on stage in The Travellers (2005), Master Harold...and the boys (2010), The Donkey Child (2014), directed The Twits (2004), did the choreography for Animal Farm (2015) and had a role in the feature film Jerusalema (2008).
