Performance history in South Africa

2000: Staged in February 2000, directed by Josh Lindberg, with Nick Boraine (older Birdy), Antony Coleman (younger Birdy), Langley Kirkwood (Al) and Jose Domingos (Renaldi). Other cast members were Michael Richard and Rob van Vuuren.

This production was presented at the Tesson Theatre in February 2000 and at the National Arts Festival Fringe in July 2000 and it won several awards (best production, best design, best diretor).
