April 1980 is a South African film by Jan Scholtz. It was released in September 1980.

The film

The film tells the story of an innocent university student called Carol whose brother - also a student - is a political activist. She falls in love with a government spy who has been instructed to provide the police with information about her brother. Her brother has distorted ideals and is unable to come to terms with his action.
