Anne Curteis. (19*-) Actress. Born Anne McMenamin ***

Biography

Anne was trained in Johannesburg in the early 1950s and worked with such famous theatre personalities as Leon Gluckman, Cecil Williams, Taubie Kushlick and Margaret Inglis. After her marriage and raising a family she returned to the theatre in Karoo Grand in 1983.

Training

Career

Worked for Pieter Toerien, PACT and CAPAB.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Appeared under her maiden name in Graham Greene’s The Living Room (Library Theatre, 1955). On stage she had roles in Karoo Grand, House Guests, Black Coffee, Tom and Viv, Not Now, Darling, Tribute, A Snake in the Garden, The Cocktail Hour.

She played Kay in If This Be Treason filmed for television, 1998.

Awards, etc

She was nominated for Vita and Fleur du Cap awards.
