[[Andrea Vinassa]] 18 April 1958 - 7 May 2021.She grew up in Benoni where she and her sister, Celeste were the top students  in the Primary and Secondary  School.  She studied BSc Domestic Science and also a Honnors in Journalism at the University of Stellenbosch.  Her partner was [[Alan Harvey]].

Andrea Vinassa (1958-2021) was a versatile journalist, reviewer and editor.

Biography

Born on 18 April, 1958, she and her sister Celeste grew up in Benoni, where she was one of the top students in the Primary and Secondary School. She studied BSc Domestic Science and also a Honours in Journalism at the University of Stellenbosch.

Besides her writing, she was also a fine photographer and interior decorator

Her later partner Alan Harvey had died some time before and Vinassa herself passed away of cancer in Pretoria on 7 May 2021.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

As a student at Stellenbosch University, she worked as stage manager on the student play Die Reëndag, wrongly billed as Andrea Venassa.
