(18**-18**) Popular musicians and performers.

Known as Alie and Jacob, they were two popular entertainers who lived and performed in Cape Town.

In 1843 they participated in an English production in the Roeland Street Theatre by local Dutch amateurs of The Miller and His Men (Pocock) and an unknown farce, constituting the orchestra with the help of assistants.
