A one-act play by Geraldine Aron.

The original text

One of Aron's "Irish" plays, but written in Cape Town, it is similar in its poetic and minimalist form to her earlier Bar and Ger, and tells the story of a mismatched couple through thirty-five years of marriage with humour and tenderness.

First performed in 1979, first in Cape Town, later in Galway.

First published in Seven Plays and Four Monologues, 1985 and subsequently in 1986 in Play Spectrum (ed. H. Houghton-Hawksley). Published as an acting edition by Samuel French in 2011.
