A one-act play by Geraldine Aron.

The original text

“Irish” One-Act play similar in its poetic and minimalist form to her earlier Bar and Ger, it tells the story of a mismatched couple through thirty-five years of marriage with humour and tenderness.


First published in Seven Plays and Four Monologues, 1985 and subsequently in Play Spectrum (ed. H. Houghton-Hawksley), 1986.


Performances in South Africa

In England performed at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough.

1979: First produced at the Space Theatre in October 1979, directed by Keith Grenville, with Ethwyn Grant and Dermot Judge.
