Slaghuis
Slaghuis (“Slaughter house”) is a play by Willem Anker. A complex metatheatrical Afrikaans play about a playwright trying to write a play based on the life and works of iconic novelist Etienne le Roux (himself in the throes of writing his last – unfinished - novel), in which characters from his works confront the author with their demands for a “real” life.
