Son of Gert van den Bergh and Dulcie van den Bergh. Married to Jana Cilliers at one time, and father of Lika van den Bergh.

The Lamb a religious film.
Stage roles include My Husband's Wild Desires Almost Drove Me Mad, Hail Wedded Love, Ritual 2378, 'n Man met Vakansie, Twaalfde Nag (1975).

Was Rapport Oscar Nominee in 1975 for Best Actor.
He was the recipient of the prestigious Ischia Global Award July 2009 in recognition of his contribution to the arts industry.
