Quartet (original title in German Quartett) (1981/1982), by German playwright Heiner Müller, based on the French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses (1782) by Laclos.
Performance history in South Africa
Presented by CAPAB Drama in the Nico Malan Arena opening 19 April 1988, directed and designed by Marthinus Basson, starring Antoinette Kellermann as Merteuil and Neels Coetzee as Valmont. Lighting design Pieter de Swardt. Assistant director Marion Holm.
