Philippa Conradie

Philippa Conradie. (19*-) Actress and possibly a translator.

An amateur with a number of groups in Cape Town, notably Kaapstadse Afrikaanse Toneelvereniging (K.A.T.), appearing inter alia in Die Spaanse Vlieg, December 1946.

She possibly also did radio work and became a professional actress when she joined the National Theatre Organisation's bilingual company, inter alia playing the lead in Candida in 1950.

She may also have been a translator, e.g. of the Afrikaans version of Alter Ego (Obeler) for the SABC.
