Mr Bourcherville (17**-18**) was a Cape Town singer-musician and amateur performer, resident at 45 Bree Street Cape Town. His name also given as De Bourcherville in Bosman 1928: 128.)

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He apparently did some concerts from time to time, and possibly worked on French performances in the early 1800s with Het Fransche Liefhebbery Geselschap and individuals such as Charles Etienne Boniface, L. Meurant, J. Riaux, François Agron and Ch. M. Villet.

In 1809 he brought together a personal company to perform two French plays, Une Folie (Bouilly) and something by an unnamed author, billed as "La Comédie Universelle", in three acts, interspersed with some songs". Boucherville sold the tickets himself and played the role of "Florival" in Une Folie.
