Based on the award-winning novel by C.M van den Heever, adapted for the screen by Leon van Nierop, produced by Lesley Mannell and Sias Odendaal, directed by Koos Roets, with a cast that includes Danie Smuts, Isabella Bosman, (as Isobella Bosman), Paul Lückhoff, Susan Coetzer, Brümilda van Rensburg, Jacques Loots, Trudie Taljaard, Miems de Bruyn, Willie Esterhuizen, Tromp Terre'blanche, Isabel Pienaar, Hennie Smit, Wilma Stockenström, Michal Grobbelaar, Sam Phillips, Gavin Sweeney and Kosie Eloff.

Music by Stephen Portman, cinematography by Tobie Swanepoel, editing by Laurens Barnard and Steven White.

Produced by Kinnerland productions, it was first broadcast on 24 September 1984.
