Jantjie

Jantjie is a 1984 Afrikaans feature film by Dirk de Villiers, written by Leon van Nierop and with music by Anton Goosen.

The film

The main character of the film, Jantjie, is frustrated by his circumstances. He joins the army to begin a new life. While he is gone, his special lady friend is courted by a rich businessman. She finally agrees to marry him because they believe that Jantjie will not return.
