I Can't Wait to Tie You to the Sofa is a play by Helena Kriel.

The original text

Written as a play in two parts, the second of which is a one-woman piece titled A Special Kind of Murder, the piece is an exploration of sexual energy and the lengths to which it drives mankind.

Performance history in South Africa

1990: Performed in the Arena at the Windybrow Theatre, Johannesburg, in March, directed by Helena Kriel with Sean Higgs, Gavin Hood, Dominique Moser and Lisa Hall (as "Alice") .

1990: Performed at the Standard Bank National Arts Festival in Grahamstown in July.

1990: Performed in the University of Cape Town's The Playroom theatre from 7 to 22 December.
