First performed on 15 September, 1851, at Punch's Playhouse, the Strand Theatre, London, and published by Samuel French probably in 1873.

1860: Performed by Charles Fraser in the Cabinet Theatre, Cape Town, on 17 January, along with £5 Reward (Oxenford).
1860: Performed by Charles Fraser in the Cabinet Theatre, Cape Town, on 21 January, with Burnand's Vilikins and his Dinah (sic). The presentation "Under the Patronage of the Naval Forces in the Bay".
1860: Performed by Charles Fraser in the Cabinet Theatre, Cape Town, on 16 February, along with The Irish Tiger (Morton).
