How Table Mountain Got Its Cloud is the name of a legend about Van Hunks and the Devil, and the origins of cloud cover on Table, which has been appeared in various versions, and including dramatized versions.

Original story

The original story was first written up by Ian D. Colvin (1877 - ) as one of the many stories he collected in the volume South Africa as part of the Romance of Empire series published by T.C.& E.C. Jack of London, 1910.
