Translated into Dutch in 1823 by Joseph Suasso de Lima as De Dolzinnige, of De Gewaande Dolleman ("The Lunatic, or The Apparent Madman"), or better known simply as De Dolzinnige


Performances in South Africa

1807: First performed in French, in Cape Town in 1807, in the The French Theatre (Het Fransche Schouwburg), playing for three evenings.

1823: Performed in Dutch as De Dolzinnige, of De Gewaande Dolleman at the African Theatre on 6 October by Honi Soit qui Mal y Pense, with Celina, of Het Kind des Geheims (Pixérecourt).
