1962:
1984: The Baxter Company 84 presented the play starring Michael Atkinson, directed by Rosalie van der Gucht, opening 17 May 1984 at the Baxter Theatre. This production also visited the following venues: The Leonard Rayne Theatre, Johannesburg, from 6 June 1984, Guild Theatre, East London, from 1 October 1984, Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, Durban, from 8 October 1984, The Rowe Theatre, Pietermaritzburg, from 22 October 1984.
1985: A further production of The Importance of Being Oscar at the Oude Libertas Amphitheatre, January 1985. Design by Brian Collins, lighting by Waldemar Swierczewski. Stage manager Mavis Lilenstein.
