(“Flotsam” - Afrikaans) by H.A. Fagan. A one-act play about a collection of “flotsam” gathered in the lounge of a rural hotel. Possibly Fagan’s best one-act play, it inspired Reza de Wet’s 199* play Drif. First performed by K.A.T. in September 1946, directed by Queenie Fagan, and published in 1947 in one volume with the full-length play Die Nuwe Wêreld (“The New World”). Published in Vyfling by Nasboek and in Die Nuwe Wêreld en ander Toneelstukke by Naspers.
