Performance history in South Africa
1981/2: Presented by CAPAB Drama opening 2 April 1982 (April 1981 according to the published text). Directed by Nigel Vermaas starring Terry Norton, James Borthwick, Norman Anstey and Diane Wilson. Sets and costumes by Dicky Longhurst, original lighting by Malcolm Hurrell (according to the programme)/John T. Baker (according to the published text). The production subsequently played at the Opera House, Port Elizabeth, from 27 April 1982, the Monument Theatre, Grahamstown, Opera House, Pretoria, 3 May 1982 and the H.B. Thom Theatre, Stellenbosch, from 6 May 1982. Also staged in Durban, and the Academy Theatre, Johannesburg.
2011: Performed in The Playhouse, Somerset West, by the Hottentots Holland Dramatic Society , directed by Molly Mohr.
2013: Produced at the Galway Arts Festival, Ireland, directed by Terry Byrne.
