by Gerhard J. Beukes. An Afrikaans satire about rugby, politics and the Afrikaner. First produced professionally by NTO in 1955-56, opening on 15 April, 1955 in Bloemfontein, then touring the country, playing for 279 performances. Featuring Pieter Geldenhuys as Sarel Brand (replaced by Eghard van der Hoven when Geldenhuys became ill), Elsa Fouché, Reenen van Niekerk, Pieter Wilcocks, Petro van der Walt and Dalene Pretorius and directed by Robert Mohr. First published by J.L. van Schaik in 1956.
