Loot
Loot is a two-act play by the English playwright Joe Orton. The play is a dark farce that satirises the Roman Catholic Church, social attitudes to death, and the integrity of the police force. Orton completed a first draft in October 1964, which premiered in Cambridge on 1 February 1965.

Performance history in South Africa
A Comma Production of Loot was presented in the Baxter Theatre Studio in 1980, directed by Barbara Maguire. The cast included Don Maguire, Yvonne Copley, Nigel Sweet, Charles Gallacher, Richard Farmer, Kenny Rafel.
Presented by PACT in October 1986, directed by Terrence Shank, starring Michael McCabe, James Borthwick, Michael Richard and Aletta Bezuidenhout.
