Performed in the Cape Town Theatre by the English Theatricals as afterpiece to The Wonder: A Woman Keeps a Secret 6 December 1823 as a benefit performance for Mrs Black, who played "Donna Violante" in The Wonder and "Lady Racket" in Murphy's piece. Both plays repeated 28 January 1824.
