A farce in two acts. First performed at the Theatre Royal, Covent-Garden in 14 April, 1789.

Published in 1789 by J. Derrett, London.

Performance history in South Africa

Performed in Cape Town by the Garrison Players in the African Theatre on 28 June, 1802, in celebration of the King's birthday. With The Interlude of the Magic Zone, The Devil to Pay, or The Wives Metamorphised (Coffey), and the ballet-pantomime The Cunning Wife, or The Lover in the Sack.
