First performed in the Theatres Royal, London.
Printed from the acting copy, with remarks, biographical and critical, by G.H. Davidson (London) in 1830.
Performance history in South Africa
Performed in Cape Town on 9 April 1838 by the Private Amateur Party alongside The Vampire (Planché) and Amateurs and Actors (Peake).
Performed in Cape Town on 9 June 1842 in the Garrison Theatre by the Garrison Players alongside Love, Law and Physic (Kenney) and Make your Wills (Mayhew and Smith).
