Die Uur van Vergelding "The Hour of Retribution"). According to the programme this was by Friedrich Gunther, though Binge (1969) suggests it is by all evidence a translation of The Divorce Question by William Anthony McGuire (first published in the USA in 1915). A play dealing with the Roman Catholic attitude to divorce, the Afrikaans version was produced in 1930 by the Hanekom Company and has over a hundred performances. Starred Wena Naudé, Willem van Zyl and James Norval.
