Frank Marcus (30 June 1928 – 5 August 1996) was a British playwright, best known for The Killing of Sister George. His plays were noted for their strong parts for female actors. (Source: Wikipedia).

In South Africa the play was produced by Colin Law. Performed in The Studio, Baxter Theatre, it was directed by Kenneth Hendel, starring Valerie Dunlop, Diana Cox, Moira Winslow, Marjorie Gordon.
