Bittersoet, translated into Afrikaans by Hanli Rolfes from the original Sweet Sorrows by Deon Opperman. Elsabé Daneel portrays five different women who struggle to overcome the trauma caused by rape, abortion, infertility, being white in Africa as well as giving up a child.
