Deadlock is a play by Leslie Sands (1921-2001)


The original text

Though no indication is given of the exact English original, it seems possible that it may be Sands's 1995 play Deadlock (filmed as Another Man's Poison).[1]

Translations and adaptations

Made into a movie under the title Another Man's Poison (1952), featuring Bette Davis.

Possibly translated into German as Giftgrün

Performance history in South Africa

To date no South African production of the original English play has been traced, but in 1995 the German stage version was performed in Cape Town by Das Kleine Theater am Kap.
