Children of Soweto Action Centre

The Children of Soweto Action Centre (Cosac) is a Soweto-based arts training facility founded in 1977.

Also referred to as The Children of Soweto Action Centre Drama Academy (also known as the Children of Soweto Action Centre or as Cosac)

About the Centre

Founded and directed by Sol Rachilo in 1977, the academy sought to use the various art forms (music, fine art, photography and drama) to help young people traumatized by the turbulence of the 1970s.

The drama raining aspect of the Centre is sometimes referred to as The Children of Soweto Action Centre Drama Academy in articles.
