Biography
Training
He graduated with a National Diploma in Fine Arts and Design from Cape Technikon in 1981.
Career
He joined CAPAB’s Scenic Arts Department in 1983. In 1993 he moved to the Design Department.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He has designed numerous dramatic works for both CAPAB and Maynardville.
Productions designed by him include:
1987: James and the Giant Peach (CAPAB)
1990: A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur (CAPAB)
1995: The Sun, the Moon and the Knife (Jazzart)
1996: Boesman and Lena
1997: Into the Woods (Cape Town Opera)
1999: Southern Born
2001: Othello
2018: Tsotsi the Musical (Cape Town Opera)
Awards, etc
For Into the Woods he received the 1998 FNB Vita Award for Best Costume Design for the 1997 production.
