Vincent: a play by Neil Sandilands
A one-man piece based on the life of Vincent van Gogh.
Vincent and another play titled Noir, was written, produced and performed in by Sandilands during his time at University, being performed at the University and at the National Arts Festival.
The play has won three Naledi Awards since its inception.

Performance history in South Africa
2022: Performed at the Hilton Arts Festival in September, directed Amanda Bothma, with Daniel Anderson as "Vincent" and musical direction and accompaniment by Germainne Gamiet.
2025: Made its debut Vincent – His Quest To Love And Be Loved, a three-time Naledi Award-winning musical theatre production, returns to play in front of many Western Cape communities this July, following its sold-out 2025 debut in London’s West End.
202*: Performed at the Edinburgh Festival,
2026: Performed at the Drostdy Theatre in Stellenbosch in July, directed by Amanda Bothma with Daniel Anderson, accompanied by Paul Ferreira on piano.
