David Fick (?-). Actor, writer.

Training

David Fick graduated with a Master of Arts in Theatre and Performance from the University of Cape Town in 2005.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He has appeared on stage in Edges, Marry Me a Little, A (Sorta) Love Story and You Bet Your Life!, the latter being an original musical co-written with Roland Perold. He has written two further musicals, Over the Rainbow and House of Shadows.

He performed his one-man show, Affirmation, at The Barn in 2004.

Extracts from his writing were published in Now I am alone 1 and Now I Am Alone 2 by Junkets Publisher in 2013.

Awards

His theatre criticism for BroadwayWorld earned him a Silver Arts Journalist of the Year Award in 2016. He teaches Dramatic Arts at Springfield Convent School, and show studies and script writing at LAMTA.
