A stage actor who worked for PACT in the 1970s,

He had supporting roles in Ampie Oppie Diekens (1972), Toiings (1974), Plaston: DNS-Kind (1974), Die Rebellie van Lafras Verwey (1975),

Possibly the same person who appeared in the 2008 film Starship Troopers 3: Marauder[1]

André Laubscher, child actor (fl 1973-1977)

A child actor who started out as a performer in Afrikaans films while still a schoolboy, but moved on to become a medical doctor once he had finished university.

Biography

Born Andre Anthonie Laubscher, he attended Randburg High School (1973 - 1977) and the University of Stellenbosch (MB. Ch.B Medicine 1978 - 1983). He began in Medical Practice in Rawsonville in September 1987 then settled to work in Ceres from February 2005 onwards.

He had roles in the films Groetnis vir die Eerste Minister, (1973 as the 8 year old "Manie Griesel"), Trompie (film, playing the 12 year old lead, 1975); Jakkalsdraai se Mense, 1975; 'n Bietjie Liefde (TV-series), 1977;
