The venue

Designed by *** to specifications supplied by National Theatre Organisation (NTO), it opened in 1956 with the NTO production of Germanicus by N.P. van Wyk Louw.

Used by various other school, university, professional and amateur companies over the years, including the local group known as Bellvillese Afrikaanse Toneelvereniging (BAT).
