The play is a stage adaptation by James Ngcobo of Touch My Blood: The Early Years (2011), the autobiography of journalist and author Fred Khumalo[1].

Performance history in South Africa

2009: A production staged at the Market Theatre was directed by James Ngcobo starring Bheki Mkhwane, Hlengiwe Lushaba-Madlala, Zesuliwe Hadebe, Lesedi Job, Mothusi Magano, Andile Mngadi, Lunga Radebe, Lebo Toko. Set designed by Nadya Cohen, lighting by Wesley France.
